Fortunately I never have, except when I worked abroad, but if you do, have you any concerns about the safety, where you live, or has the landlords been in contact?

Its seems ridiculous, that hotels and guest houses, big & small, have to have, by law, strict fire safety apparatus, sprinklers, fire blankets, fire alarms, enough fire escapes etc, but tower blocks holding 200/300/400 and more people don't?

I enjoyed living on the 18th floor during the 80s - the flat was spacious, light and airy and the washing dried very quickly on the roof lines. :)

Not suitable for children or the infirm but fine for able bodied singles and couples. I never worried about fire.
