In the newspaper this morning it said that NICE had reported that 90% of births are in a hospital and 2% are home births. What happened to the other 8%?

Whickerman - that's what I thought and why I posted the question. I have looked at the NICE site but couldn't find any further info.
They probably base the stats. on the pre-arranged hospital / home births, and as Whickerman suggests, not everyone has a baby in either venue.
maybe the 8% also includes births in maternity units that fall into neither category?
