Thanks TWR - both plugs got jammed and I had great difficulty in getting them out. You can't even get a grip of them and twice I have had to lug the water from the sink to a bucket.
Just think perhaps the batch hanging up in B&Q are all faulty.
//// You've put up a Link to a Strainer, but say you want a Plug, which is it? ////
If it's what I think it is - it doubles up as both. In the raised position, it lets water drain through; then when you push it down, it sits on the rubber seal, making it watertight and acts as a plug ..... I think :)
I'm sure they are a standard size Jenny, there's a restriction in the base, although Stainless Steel there may be something there that's causing it to stick, has any blunt tool been used on the inside base where the Plug Goes?
I had to change both parts of mine when I couldn't find a suitable replacement strainer/plug. Very slight differences in size/shape between manufacturers causing problems.
