9 across. 6 letters .Clue is: Take off with sec,always flipping swallowing it.I have R???V?.Is it REMOVE? How does it fit with sec and it?Many thanks.

9 Ever - always, Mo, sec(ond) Flipping = swap ever to Reve and put Mo inside *swallowing).

2 N - the start of Newsman, plus Umbers, browns/colours. Numbers = figures.
9 Remove

Ever, back round Mo (Sec)

n = lead letter of newsman
s = forms possessive of umber
Ever reversed around mo (second/sec)
