Are the cherries ready for eating in Kent yet? They are my absolute favourite and as we're there at the weekend. I'm wondering whether to fit in a trip to the orchards.

I am buying English cherries and have also had my cherry harvest from my garden....3 whole cherries!!! so I would say very likely yes....but you might look online and see if any of the orchards you propose to visit have websites?
I'm not in Kent but on the south coast and our cherries have been and gone, they were delicious :)
We picked the last ones on Monday so hopefully there will still be some for you to enjoy on your visit to Kent.

Really nice ones from Kent in Aldi at the moment. I'm making the most of them! They have a fairly short season, I think, and do not like the ones from abroad.
I'm afraid the blackbirds got all mine! The tree is too big to net.

Last year we were in west Kent and bought cherries over at Sissinghurst, gawjus! The year before we picked our own somewhere near Deal, but both visits were later in the month so lets hope we are not too early.
