should wee Charlie be allowed to pass in peace, or should this very public battle continue despite the prognosis from medics both here and in the US ?

I think it is very sad, but the wee mite should be allowed to pass, delaying the inevitable is not helping

What a media/ political circus this child's life has evolved into. Tragic, please allow this baby to die in peace with some dignity .

Charlie now has severe brain damage.
He cannot open his eyes or move his arms or legs.
His condition also means he is unable to breathe unaided, which is why he needs to be on a ventilator.
Charlie's heart, liver and kidneys are also affected, and his doctors say it is not clear if he feels pain...... pix it doesn't look good...

I think it's entirely up to the parents. Should be and is...
This everyone sticking their oar in has caused such an unnecessary furore in my opinion.
Just whatever they think must be the decision.
I could never forgive myself with the what ifs if we were to decide not to do something that may or may not have a tiny shimmer of 'hope' at the end of it. Personally speaking....

For several years I knew some children who were severely disabled and they cursed the hospitals for letting them live.
They lived into their 20s and when they died the parents, who had dedicated their lives to them, thanked God . They said "Too late but at last we are all free ."
Maybe the Pope and all those pious souls who are criticising the hospital, would like to send in their addresses and offers of a life time home. It's not just little Charlie who needs help , there are thousands of others .
