Huge Thunderstorm Here In Swansea !

Hi Tanner, pretty spectacular out towards Llanfairfechan and up the Conwy valley. The rain is warm enough to make a cup of tea with.

Well that was some display by "Mother Nature". The storm is moving out over the Dee Estuary and heading for Liverpool. Still a few strikes nearby and, pretty loud accompaniment, but the deluge has stopped. The stream at the bottom of the woods is raging as if it has been raining for a week. Strange to hear it in the Summer, it is usually only there in the winter months. .........Hells teeth that was close.

One of the 5/6 yr olds said to me at school today.. the news lies.

Asked how he came to that conclusion he said that the news had said there would be thunder and lightning but there wasn't any.

After telling him there had been a hugmongus amount of both thunder and lightning right over head and that he still insisted there was none I asked if he had been to sleep last night.

We came to the conclusion that he had been asleep.

Traffic info sign I passed here approaching Dumfries said " Heavy Rain Expected" that was 15:00hrs. Nothing yet though.

Very heavy here, then it clears, then heavy again. No rain - I'm trying to decide whether or not to water the garden. A clue is that the Combined harvesters were on the go all yesterday and today - and farmers usually know what's going on weatherwise.

We had lightning last night but I missed it. We had thunder in the early hours but nothing today. I hope it stays OK as I`m going to see Tom Jones later - I don't want to see him electrocuted!

We had thunder all yesterday afternoon. The rains came around 11pm, preceded by lots of wind...with more thunder. It was still stormy at 1am. Lots of mizzle all day today. Still quite humid.
