A family we know have decided to move house because of the influx of Pakistani families moving into their area. Apparently the place is changing out of all recognition compared to what it was like when they first moved there. They have said that is why they are moving. Should I report them to the thought police and have them charged racism? You may laugh but nothing would surprise me these days with current obsession with race.

You're in.
Isn't one of the accusations that ethnic minorities don't try and integrate
So shouldn't this family be staying put and welcome Mr & Mrs Chana?
What a choice to have to make ?

Either live next door to a family, that might be from Pakistan, or live next door to racists !
Racism is not a crime. Racial discrimination is.
Relatives (living in good area) joined forces with about 8 neighbours in order to buy a house which was up for sale, just saying. Birds of a feather.
If the white folk (I'm assuming they are white) didn't mover less Pakistanis could move in.

I recently did some building work for a Muslim on his new home ... he moved because where he lived was too Muslim ... beat that!
I can, Talbot. A professional family (Pakistanis) sent 3 of their children to the Comp. school I taught in (Bradford). Good results all round - 1 Oxbridge place and 2 Russell group, happy and supportive family. We said that we were looking forward to welcoming their youngest boy, but the reply was 'No, we are sending him to ******* because you have too many of the wrong sort of Pakistanis.' It is class as well as race that matters.
I would move if they were causing problems for us as certain ethnic groups have done in some areas, otherwise I would do my best to get on with people.
Well said ratter !

I will have to give this Q, some serious THOUGHT!
Jourdain2, during teaching practice in Bradford in the early '70s the Head was talking about difficulties in a multi-racial school. 'The Indians from one area of India fight the Indians from another area of India. but they get together to fight the Pakistani children, and the West Indian children will fight anybody!'.
