Yes it's that time of the year "legalised robbery " ahmmm sorry I meant car insurance..got my renewal gone up £70 from last year well they can poke that!
Just been online got 3 quotes for £210 which is £10 more than last year im happy with that.. time to change insurers

No such thing as customer loyalty nowadays. I now do re-quotes every year for all insurances and utilities.

I think insurers rely on many folk not bothering to check around, as you say, legalised robbery.

Who's angry? Too many people on here use the overdone "legalised robbery" and "ripped off"....things increase in price in the supermarket but I don't see those phrases being used about that.

Last year's car insurance was £197 got my renewal yesterday £247 I'm paying £50 more because of over people's claims..I don't think so.. ivery been luck enough not to have had a claim in 30 yrs they should look after me!!

I had been lazy and auto renewed for the last 4 years - i had breakdown as well with the RAC so everything was gonna cost me £670 this year!!
Shopping around I got everything for about £320 plus i got cashback on it too and as I used by credit card extra tesco points - so a very good saving all in all.

So gingerbee I have a crash and others as well ..because of that your insurance goes up £50 is that not being ripped off ..if you haven't had a claim why should you pay for someone else!

It used to be the case that you could opt out of buying car insurance by depositing a large sum of money with someone. Why don't you look into that Bernie?

If you tell your present Insurers that you can get cover for £210, they might well match it, or even agree a lesser price.

I got my house and contents insurance renewal the other day. Gone up 16%. I rang them and asked them to justify the rise and they came back with a quote less than last years - so I settled for that. Saved over £50. Never just accept it now.
