Just come across Dervla Murphy's autobiography 'Wheels within Wheels', and apart from a few quick 'comfort breaks' and refuelling, I have been reading for nearly five hours now, and will go on till I finish it.
Totally enthralling piece of work.
Had read, and enjoyed, most of her cycling books, but this is in a class of its own.

I'm sorry to say, having read probaly several hundred books, I have never finished a book in one sitting. My best is possibly two weeks, and average around a month
Probably "Fatherland" by Robert Harris.....completely unputdownable !
Very lucky if you have the time to read for 5 hours - wish I had.
Question Author
Peter, agree Dickens is quite a writer. My favourite is Bleak House, but definitely not in one go.
Jason, maybe you haven't found a real page turner yet.
Yes Mikey, another excellent choice.
Maggie, I am retired after 40 years of non-stop work, so now have the time to indulge myself.
