how old do baby cats have to be before you can handle them. I am very proud to say that my cat patchy had 5 babies on june 24, 2006. I have never seen such a wonderful set of babies in my life.

I handled my cats kitties pretty soon after she had them.If you have a good relationship with your puss and she has them in a safe place,she wo'nt mind if you handle them,but I would'nt go messing about with them too much,Mum does'nt tend to like that & it might get her stressed.Plus,do'nt let any Tom,Dick or Harry pick them up,she will trust you as she knows you & your smell,other people she might not be too keen on.
Kitties are a joy to have,good luck & feed Mum up so she can feed her babies well!!

Thank you. I think she does trust me. But this is her first litter and I dont really know how she would react if I did touch them. I had to delivery her last baby because he got stuck and she wouldn't push anymore and I had to clean him and I think she feels safe only when I am around. On the first night she wouldn't sleep in the box with the babies unless I layed next to her on the floor.
