can anyone take me through the process(in plain english please) of transferring a still picture from a Canon video camera so I can send it by e-mail to relatives Thanks My PC is Windows Me

The most straight forward way is probably to install a TV tuner card, the cables and software for which is likely to include (check before buying) still frame capture possibilities. These cost around �30 and once you have the image saved as, say, a jpeg file it handles exactly like any other attachment. There is then an awful lot else you can do and FM reception is usually included.
