spoil your day.
Had to go out to big town this morning, came across some very pleasant people.
However, the guy at the checkout in the supermarket was a pain in the neck.
I do a family shop on a Friday, and practically every item he scanned through was 'oh, I don't like that/them' or 'how can you eat that?!'
By about the half way point I told him I didn't need his running commentary and I was buying it for my lot and not him so shurrup!!
Please tell me I did the right thing? :-D

" Spaghetti Bolognese tonight then" as the obvious ingredients went through. Then as Lemsips was scanned, "Oh, someone got a cold?" I used to dread personal 'monthly' items going through......

I'd tell him he was lucky to be working surrounded by all sorts of interesting food, and why didn't he take the opportunity to try more things...?
I have a young volunteer who's like that...he often helps in the kitchen, though he's quite outspoken about the things he won't eat or even try..such as fish. I did get him to try avocado once. Well...I *think* he tasted it. It may have just been wafted past his lips... ;-))

Went into Morrisons a while back and wanted a spring cabbage but could not find any. Wandered round till I found a girl filling shelves on the next unit and asked if they had any spring cabbage as I couldn't see any on the shelves. She replied "Don't know". Well would you mind having a look I asked. She replied "Don't know what one looks like - that's why I work on Cheese". She was probably about 25 yrs old. Wondered how they interviewed their employees. Do they show them a turnip, a lump of Cheddar and a lamb chop to see which they recognise and put them in that dept.
