I bet many ABers would not class them as famous. You miss my point, I'm not saying she deserves to be famous or not, I just can't believe you have really never heard of her - at the very least from Mums go to Iceland ads.
Prudie....I rarely watch commercial TV but when I do, I switch channels when the adverts come in. I don't think I have ever shopped at Iceland either.
I wasn't trying to catch you out, but was trying to say that most pop singers are famous for a very short time, and then either disappear, or become "famous for being famous" which this lady appears to be.
All of the sopranos that I have listed have had, or are still having, very long careers and will still be famous 100 years from now.
Not all of us are interested in celebrity trivia.
