Did you notice the brief conversation between Rita and Gemma last night? Are they off down the dementia route for Rita do you think?

Yes, I thought that, Rita asked where Gemma had got "little miss trouble" mug from, Gemma said Rita had given it to her!

Yes, it was the way Rita then said "oh yes, so I did" and a sort of slightly worried look went across her face.
Yes I noticed that too. Dementia story in Emmerdale, so........... if it's in one soap, it has to be in t'other.
Yes, it thought that. It will be an excellent storyline for Rita and Corrie handles dementia very well. Mike Baldwin developed a form of it and fireman Paul's wife, Lesley, also suffered from it. Some of her scenes were heartbreaking
I also thought the same as everybody else. I wonder if this means Rita is leaving then ...
Hopefully, Rita's decline will be very slow and she will have many years left on the street
Why do they need to introduce such storylines into soaps, which after all are suppose to be popular entertainment programmes, not documentaries containing certain social messages.

Waits for what are now regular announcements, "If you have been affected by the following bla, bla, bla, please ring this number or..........."
Not watched Coronation St for a while now but generally they do handle this type of topic well.
It must be time for them to tackle yet another social issue. I stopped watching it years ago when they forgot about the humour and just concentrated on misery and despair just like Eastenders.
Plenty of humour in Corrie, still
I agree dave 50, loved Jack and Vera and Hilda and Stan, always saying 'thats it, not watching it any more!' but I always do, just keep hoping it gets better I suppose......
The partnership of Norris and Mary is the only redeeming feature in it at the moment
Sally and Tim have their funny moments, too, and Steve and Liz.

Eva made me laugh when she drove up in the pink 4x4 :D
I seen something yesterday on facebook about Rita, now I didn't know if it was the character or the actress but I found this link - I think it's the character http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/please-no-coronation-street-fans-10913152
