many thanks for that, I write types of dwellings on scrap paper and had hostel as one but couldn't fit it in!

'Double-bed' is often used as abbr for 'double- bedroom' when describing houses. The question mark at end of clue indicates a bit of lateral thinking may be required.

there are no limiting instructions printed on the quiz sheet about asking for help.

There are on other peoples it is right at the bottom and you did exactly the same with a previous RAP quiz and someone told you then

This has happened before with the RAP quiz. I think a lot depends on whether the sheet is posted out or whether it has been emailed. On the emailed version, the request often is one line on the top of page 2 with nothing else on that page so when printing, if only page 1 is copied the request gets omitted. Just a thought.

It is never printed on my sheet - perhaps it is just outside my margins - but I do know from previous quizzes and always add it myself

Then I suggest it depends on what setting you have on your own computer when saving documents, ie I always save as a word document, using Calibri or Times Roman size type 12. This has a way of putting the last line on another page which has happened to me but I am aware of the rules for the RAP quiz so always check.
