Blocked tear duct in babies
4 Answers
Our 15 month old daughter has had a blocked tear duct since birth which has caused her left eye to become weepy and gunky. Now the doctor has referred her to the hospital to have the duct opened up a little. Have any of you had to take a young child to have this done? If so, could you tell me what is involved and how I can get through it without ME crying when it is done! Thank you.

If you are stressed maybe something like emergency essence (a bush flower essence) or rescue remedy (bach flower) could help you a bit. I actually prefer bush flower but bach is easier to come by. Also breastmilk has quite amazing properties one of which is sorting out gunky eyes! It's great on conjunctivitus for example!
Thank you all for your answers. I haven't tried homeopathy yet, but will certainly try while we are waiting for her hospital appointment. tracyh, I was told to do that by the health visitor and it did help for a while. Unfortunately, I had to stop breastfeeding her when she was 9 months old, so it is not an option now. Oh well, lets hope some lotions and potions work......
