Eleven Traveller Family Members Convicted Following Slavery Trials
http:// www.bbc .co.uk/ news/uk -englan d-linco lnshire -408998 39
I mentioned this on another thread a day or two ago. This case is just awful, and I wonder how many more like it there waiting to be uncovered....its hardly the first of its kind, after all.

We have had them here in the last couple of weeks, knocking down fences or cutting through padlocks and destroying gates to get in to land (often public parks or children's play areas).
They all have brand new 4x4 vehicles and modern caravans.
However when the police checked the car number plates they found none of them were registered with the DVLA and hence have no insurance.
Most of the men go out during the day, either offering to tarmac your drive or clear away your rubbish (for a fee). But they then come back to the public park and just dump the rubbish in the park.
They have been going in to shops stealing things. One gypsy family went into a restaurant and had a meal and walked out without paying.
Some of the shops in the high street now lock their front door during the day and you have to ring a bell to be let in, so they can verify you are not a gypsy family.
They threaten anyone who walks through the park and near their cars or caravans (after all this is a PUBLIC park). The gypsy children threaten any other children who come in to the park.
The council go to court to get them evicted from the site, but they just leave that site and drive to another nearby. Then the council have to get another court order to evict them and so it goes on.
The various social media sites in our area (Facebook etc) have been awash with anger about them, with people suggesting setting fire to their caravans (I am not saying I support this but it just shows the level of anger).
Theser people live outside the law, pay no taxes that the rest of us pay, but I bet if they are ill they want the local National Health Service to treat them (even though they don't pay in to it).
I think this "slavery" family above are just a tip of the iceberg.
I have to say like most people in my area I hate them and it would not bother me if they all drove off the edge of a cliff.

Would that be allowed, noting the old signs "No Blacks", "No Dogs" "No Irish" and more recently "No Gays"?
True though they are a complete nuisance and it is time legislation was brought in to make their anti-social lifestyle illegal.
