Producing One's Own Family Tree
3 Answers
Sorry to be a PITA, but about twenty years ago, when I had Windows XP, I started drawing my own Family Tree, using Monotype Corsiva because it is like my handwriting. Now that I have Windows 7, is there any way that I can scan the old hard copy and be able to add to it drawing the necessary horizontal and vertical lines? As I have traced my family back to 1530, it would be a tremendous time saver if I didn't have to hand write everything.
As y ou have probably guessed, the file has been lost in the mists of time. I will be very grateful for any suggestions
Thank you in anticipation!

Unfortunately, my printer would not scan to OCR, and I have tried to convert the original hard copy to a format that would allow me to add to the tree. Sadly, this proved to be a non-starter, so I have resigned myself to the fact that I shall have to write it by hand - at least I won't have any trouble drawing the horizontal and vertical lines - unless the ink runs when I use a rule. Thanks again and keep up the good work!
