can anyone help me please, I'm trying to find my best friends nanny who died recently. He doesn't speak to any of his family and his Nanny was like his mother (she brought him up) and his family wont tell him where she was buried. its discusting and id really like to surprise him with where she is. her name is Irene Sadler born 31st October but I don't know the year :( buried somewhere in Norwich-England either 2016 or 2015, sorry for the little info but I'm hoping someone can help me

Are you sure that she was buried? (75% of deaths in the Uk are followed by cremation, rather than by burial). If she was, do you know her religion? If she was a follower of the Church of England (or simply someone who was likely to be given a C of E burial service by default, as many are), staff at the Diocesan House in Norwich might be able to assist you in your search:

Approximately how old was she when she died?

Thanks for responding guys, I don't no the year of birth unfortunately, so I don't know how old she was but my friend is 38 so I'd guess she was in her mid 70's, she was defiantly buried.

If you want to check whether she's buried in the churchyard at All Saints, Weston Longville, contact the churchwarden, Dorothea le Grice on 01603 880962 or the Priest in Charge, the Revd Canon Margaret Dean on 01603 879275 ( [email protected] ).

If you need a photograph of the grave, one of the above might be able to provide it, otherwise I could probably drive up there for you.
