Why Did My Fuschia Die

I bought a nice fuschia from the garden centre. It said
re-pot and add some high potash fertiliser. Which we
did and four days later it was dead - What did we do wrong ?

Have all the leaves fallen off? Maybe it was just shocked. Prune it right back and see what happens next year. Is it a standard or shrub fuchsia?

May that's it - I watered it and it looked sad, a couple days later it still looked sad so I watered it again which seemed to make it worse

What sort is it?

physiological shock ? it will probably bounce back next year..

scrape the stem (trunk) gently near the base. If its a little bit green under the brown coating, its still alive, if its just creamy brown, then its dead.

don't know what sort it is - was pink/red/green when happy

Is it tall with all the leaves/flowers at the top or does it look like a little bush?

it's ( was ) going to be tall not the dwarf bush like ones
