How do I find my ex-husband?

Not sure if this is the right catergory, but here goes. My ex-husband has been harrassing me and our children, and our children are now refusing to see him. I have taken legal advice, and been informed that this is their choice due to their age. My solicitor offered to send him a letter advising him to stay away or we would take further action (injunction). The letter they sent has been returned and I have now discovered that he has moved house, and we don't know where he is. As the letter was done free of charge, I can't go any further unless I start paying fees (which I can't afford right now) Any ideas how I can find out where he is living? Its a fairly recent move, so I don't think it will be updated on the electoral register, and all the sites I have viewed are really expensive. Any sensible ideas gratefully recieved, I just want my children to feel safe.

Hi justmetoo.
We don't have any mutual friends, and he has no family here. We split up 8yrs ago and he has been so awful to the children, I know where he works, but the solicitor is reluctant to send the letter there as it's private. (in case someone else opens it I guess)
if he is paying council tax, he will be registered on the electoral role. If he is not paying council tax -they will find him soon!
If you know where he works you could try contacting him there.
