Is it definitely 9 letters? If you're sure of the T's, how about the A's? The only goalkeeper that I can see in the Premier League with a double 'TT' is -

Hello The Sportscode crossword in The Sun newspaper gives the letters RTA as a starter. There are 20 Premier league goalkeepers to find. I have only found one so far which is: ??RATA which I understand is Gorata! I thought ?A?A??TTA would be relatively easy to find on a list of premier league players. How hard is this! Thanks for all your help and suggestions so far!
