Thanks to Andy for his answer to my previous question. I've been able to look in the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles, and it mentions a song called "Bakerman" by a Norwegian duo called Laid Back, which reached number 44 in May 1990. Do you know anything about that?

Hi Waterwolf, I'm going to admit that I may have dropped off with my previous answer, and that this may be the 'quiet vocal / shuffle beat' song I mentioned. In mitigation, I was relying on my memory, rather than definite knowledge, so I may have steered you in the wrong direction, but hey, I'm only human! Keep 'em coming!
That is the craziest thing... I came on to the site to find out exactly the same piece of information. I remember watching the same edition of the chart show when I was aged 10, and the song has been bugging me for the last 12 years! The chorus went something like "bakerman, is baking some bread" and the video featured the band floating or parachuting. Was the song by Laid Back? Did you ever manage to track it down?
