Idle engine revs. Ford Fiesta.

Hi, I was just wondering what the revs should be when sitting idle in a '98 Ford Fiesta. Mine sits below 1000 and I always thought it was meant to be over a thousand. Can this cause any problems?

I dont sit idle for a long time, its just something I notice when I start up or have stopped in traffic. Cheers

I dont think u have anything to worry about mine sits below 1000 rpm when in traffice etc

If the engine isn't struggling not to stall, there's no problem.
