I very rarely download music, but am going on holiday and want to download about 5 albums I've chosen. I don't want to buy CD's! Just want to download onto my PC then transfer to my tablet. Would I be best to do this via Amazon Music by joining for a month for £9.99 I think it is, and then cancel my membership, or are there any other ways people can suggest?

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure you can't download music you don't own. You can stream it, sure, but to an online device.

You can't buy online, and it is yours to download as you like. No physical CD is bought.
Try Spottify.

I think you can download for offline listening if you take the free premium trial.
Just noticed my can buy online became can't buy online for some reason. I have Amazon Prime and have not bought a physical CD for over ten years. I can download or play online everything I own there, and stream thousands of other tracks when online only.
