Just imagine if you could be transported anywhere in the world right now, with the persons of your choice, eating your favourite fate and sipping your favourite tipple.
So, choose your location, choose your companions (maximum of 2), choose your food, choose your drink.
I'd choose to be in the Bahamas with my mother and late nan, eating seafood and drinking tanqueray and elderflower tea tree.
I guess you meant Florence NoM, cos no-one EVER chose to go to Peterborough.
Florence is just beautiful. The food, the wine, the ambience, the architecture..... It really is something else. I was happy there, despite the company. I'd live there if I could.
Walpole St Peterborough (not there any more) eating Fish and Chips from Harris St chippy, with grandma and grandad listening to the sports results on a Saturday night and just contemplating what life was really about.
To drink? Benedictine......brought it back from London, first Christmas back from Med school and she had never heard of it and thought it was "wonderful". She put her hand out and asked me to feel he "pullets." I told her that i had only done 3 months training LOL.
All the flash hotels, Concorde , cruises....etc....but so what?
In the garden of my childhood home on a hot summer afternoon with my parents and drinking a cup of tea.
Or on a beach in Bora Bora with Aidan Turner - sod the food and drink
Somewhere in southern Italy...where my grandparents came from. Not sure where, but in/around Naples.
With my mum, my daughter, and if I could add a 4th person...my grandmother, of whom I only have vague memories.
Food made by mum and grandmother...and a lovely red.
cosy cabin edge of the woods by a beach, James Spader (in Red Reddington; Blacklist for those who don't know, role) and Redman (for afterwards) eating a lovely fresh seafood salad with crusty bread and drinking a nice gewürztraminer to the sound of the waves from nearby seashore, owls hooting in the woods for atmosphere. Maybe with a selection of icecream and fresh fruit to follow and a huge cheeseboard. And chocolates...
At lot of interesting answers and not one I could pinpoint as best answer. I was particularly taken with Barmaid's and Snags' replies, so you can share joint BA ;)
