Diabetic Result Hba1C 70- Doctor Wants To See Me I Didnt Think Too Bad
22 Answers
Hi there I have type 2 diabetes and I am on metformin 1g x2 a day I got my 6 monthly MOT and I have been asked to make an appointment to see him about my diabetic control. I didnt think it was too bad. It is 70, and according to diabetes.co.uk the target is 48. I have had a few problems with infections under arm, groin area and I have nerve pain which comes and goes in my right foot and I feel very tired all the time but otherwise ok. I do eat quite a lot of carbs but I still dont think 70 is too bad for my diet. I hope I am not running out of insulin.

There is an American doctor...Dr Bernstein...who is a diabetic himself and has kept it under control with diet for 70 years. I believe he's written a book.
Good luck.

When one treats a medical problem, one is treating a person, a human being, with human failings and not the recommendations in a book or a forum. Almost always, a patient will know what is the right thing to do, but not have the will power to do it. You are treating gordie and not just diabetes. Anyone can cure type 2 diabetes, but not everyone would be able to live the lifestyle that was needed.
