Good Morning Early Birds!

Tuesday. Yesterday the rain cleared and the sun came out with perfect timing for my friends to arrive. The wee white tornado was as pleased to see them as I was. In other words she went bonkers! :o} We went to lunch at The George in Cambridge. They had a two courses for £10 on the go, so we went for a starter and main. The portions were cooked to perfection and were so big none of us wanted a pud. Herself wanted some duck eggs, so I took them to the farm next to the pub where I get my eggs, I know the owners well, so we were given a guided tour of the livestock pens, which I've done many times, we were shown some kids that had been born in the morning in the goat pens, also some piglets that were born the day before. Rosie, the mum, knows me well, so I had to give here ears a tickle. Then we were introduced to a new collie puppy. the cutest wee thing, so it was. Buying half a dozen eggs took an hour and a half!
We got back home, himself promptly fell asleep on the recliner, so herself and I took the snowflake for a long walk across the fields, snowflake killed a rat! Herself mentioned that she'd seen a rat on her allotment the day before, so I'm going to take snowflake down there.
They went home tired and happy at eight PM.
All in all a lovely day.
Talking of which, have a happy day everyone.

I once had the idea at Meadowhall Mall of putting an old car at the entrance with an engineer tinkering with it. The men could be left there to watch/discuss, etc while the women went shopping.
However, I used to love having my Dad on supermarket days. He looked after the trolley while Mum and I went off to get stuff. If you chanced to go past him, you'd hear him humming old songs a la Bing Crosby style. It was one of the highlights of the trip!
