I'm off for a City Break to Liverpool soon - and my companions said "For Funks Sake stop being in denial and get a Bus Pass, Dave - it'll save you loads of beer money".

So earlier this week I spent hours getting myself tarted up and then filled in the online form - using my webcam for the photo.

The photo I submitted was (to my eyes) a fetching combination of George Clooney and Jose Mourinho with a hint of a smile playing on my lips

My bus pass arrived today - with a picture that seems to be of a leering drunk, with a red face and a shockingly bad haircut.

I am considering getting BarMaid to initiate proceedings for defamation ...

Some years ago I decided,whatever the photo looked like - and boy do some of them look grim- as long as it got me on the bus, plane or whatever, it was ok. After all, I don't have to look at it!
