Aggers talks to the PM in "A View from the Boundary" - should be on just after 1pm (unless the time of Lunch is altered by the current rain break).

On R5LiveSportXtra or via the BBC Sport website - will also be available as a podcast soon after broadcast.

Often politicians are surprisingly interesting when taken away from 'the day job' - John Major on cricket being a case in point.

I 'hae me doots' about TM, but will have a listen to see.

Just starting now ... (early lunch)
she'll probably show off by saying she fully understands the off side law

Gosh, I, hope she hasn't another tale to tell about naughtiness.
The last one put me into therapy.
Major was president of Surrey CCC for a while, wasn't he? I doubt if May even bothered to make the tea (as is required of most women who dare express an interest in cricket).

Let me know if she says anything about restricting immigraton of cricketers, though.
Question Author
Aggers struggling ....
Is she that boring?
Question Author
He's given up on cricket (which is sort of what it should be about) and dived for a list of pre-prepared politics questions - like drawing teeth.
Question Author
Excellent - he's just said she sounds like Mrs Thatcher ... she does not seem to agree :)
She kinda does, in as much as they both seem to be lifeless.
I just about coped with Mrs Thatcher being mentioned......but the answer evasion answer has me switching off...... :-(

Oh dear - whoever suggested she did this hasn't done her any favours.
I gather from the paper that she praised Boycott's captaincy. He was the one who lost his job after a mutiny by his teammates, which seems like the sort of parallel she'd have been better off not hinting at.
Question Author
She also had a 'common touch' story pre-programmed in - about Sir Geoffrey not returning her tupperware when she made him a cake.

Aggers had obviously been told to ask the question, was uneasy about it but complied, and she duly rattled off the (frankly dodgy) tale.

Boycott had obviously not been 'briefed' quite so effectively and was mystified when the subject was raised later by another commentator ...
