Is Whitstable The Most Overrated Place In Britain? As For Hythe...what A Dump!

Visited both recently, and they're so disappointing. Whitstable is supposed to be so chic and trendy but it's a mess with a tatty pebble beach and no proper seafront area. Why are celebrities and fashionable types flocking there? As for Hythe....OMG, awful. Feel free to try and convince me otherwise

There's a lovely sandy beach at Whitstable. You simply need to walk a short distance along the seafront (easterly) to Tankerton Cliffs.

Lovely menu. Expensive though. I went to that restaurant a few years ago. The food was lovely. I liked the town.

I guess the ray is like skate, so not for me. I've had too many ammoniated ones to want it again.

The Thornback Ray is a skate, mamy. You can pay eighteen quid in Whitstable to have it pan fried with butter and capers (and I'm sure it's delicious though skate is not my favourite fish). Or you can pay £5.50 to have deep fried in Peter's on the seafront in Ramsgate.
