Trainline Problems
I've been checking on the Trainline site for details of times and fares, when after about half an hour I got the following message, You don't have permission to access "http://www.thetrainline.com/train-times/" on this server.
Has any one any idea why I encountered this problem?

However, as I've written many, many times before on AB (based upon my experience running a railway station) you should NEVER, EVER USE THE RUDDY TRAINLINE WEBSITE!!!
They can't offer any fares which aren't available from the National Rail website, you end up paying MORE (because of the admin fee) and they've been known to issue tickets which aren't even valid for travel on any trains before now!
This is the ONLY site you should use (other, possibly, than the website of the relevant train operating company):

Just tried again, and it's back up and running!
Thanks for your reply Buenchico, I'll take on board what you say and check it out.
While I was on the Trainline site, I checked out the single fare for Paddington to Swindon on Tues 3rd Oct. The fare for the 17.30 to Swindon is £64.50. If I bought separate tickets, one to Didcot, and one on the same train from Didcot to Swindon, the total fare for the two tickets is £35.70, a saving of £28.80. Quite a difference!!
