Working In The Country
11 Answers
I have been working for the last few days on the Gower Peninsula. Today has been typical......I have come home with 6 fresh ducks eggs, some rhubarb and some wonderful looking Bramley apples, all from road-side honesty stands.
And 2 jars of home-made plum jam !
I have also bought some scrumpy cider......I was instructed that this is sitting-down cider, not standing-up cider by the Farmer, so I am limiting myself to have a pint a day !
I shall report back tomorrow ( if I survive ! )

Although I live on a modern-ish (1970s) housing estate, there are still plenty of people around here who put eggs, apples, etc outside their houses, together with honesty boxes. Until they re-designed Ipswich station, even W H Smith had an honesty box system for paying for newspapers.
Go steady (or should that be 'unsteady'?) with the scrumpy!
