yes start a trend again ELVIS, " Honest injun "forgotten about it till I saw it there, Christ knows where it came from, probably Little plum the indian kid used to say it to Big chief, he also had Wampum powder, I still say that when I go out sometimes, going out to get some wampum powder, mrs sparx looks at me a little oddly now and again,i must say
It was used in some adverts ELVIS, could not tell you which ones though, I just love it, I went to see the Opera, felt a bit daft 6ft building worker with tears coming down his face, Still who cares!!!!
Wedding, I can't remember, and my wifes not around to ask, but,
Funeral, Lonnie Donegan singing 'So long, it's been good to know you', followed by 'Lonnies Skiffle Party'.
One of my mates got married and had green day Good Riddance and she went off with his mate. I think that song a BAD omen , the title says it all for me
my wedding song was, Shania Twain, You're still the one
funeral song is either gonna be Bette Middler, wind beneath my wings or possibly, but not so certainly, Pink Floyd, wish you were here. In two minds about it but hey, its years away yet (i hope) so i'll decide nearer the time for sure.
Elvis/Ray: Use "honest injun" myself (previous posts)[showing age]....Think it dates back to the Native Americans (Indians), never lying - like the 'white' men did!
Anyhow thats how I always interpreted it to mean......could be wrong!
