Numberplate Question

Hi I bought my boyfriend a numberplate for his 18th. But he crashed the car last night and his knew numberplate I got him is ML05MCK. His old car was a 2008 year so I'm just wondering what year has he to buy for this plate till suit

Do you mean his car is a write-off and he's swapping his plate to a new car?

If you want the plate to match the age of car you'd be looking for a 2005 car (August 205- Feb2006) I think- but it is't necessary to match the year

As long as the plate is the same age as the car OR OLDER it's OK.

The car is a rite of but he hasn't got the personalised one on the car yet cause his birthday isn't till December. I'm wondering what year of a knew car will he have to buy so the numberplate will be allowed on

FF, whilst that's true, you can't use a number plate that makes the car look younger than it is.
