Lil pasta and her BF have been to 7 or 8 weddings over the past 3-4 months. Except for 1, all have been in Europe...Portugal, Corsica, Italy. Several were BFs family...he's Italian, so I assume they were put up for those. Daughter says they varied in cost with several being quite OTT. She says when she does it ,it will be low key...possibly a party for their friends rather than a spending frenzy like some seem to be. That's what her dad and I did. My mum was widowed, and we didn't expect her to pay.( That horrid tradition that says the bride's family pays). His family was coming over from the UK, and just having them present was lovely. We got married in a registry office and had a party in our flat after. It ended at 1am.
Made my brother laugh too, Baz........he'd been told why I was seated where I was and kept winking and grinning at me from the fun family table.... :-(
We're a big family so I've told the rest that any wedding where I'm expected to be the entertainment for the dull table will result in a huge bill for my services........... ;-)
Not too far out, Albs.......except for the banjo.....x
