I'm looking for ideas for a November wedding. It's being held at a country club on Long Island, outside NYC.
Preferably below knee length, medium or long ( sheer? )sleeves.

Lass in local shop is mother of the groom today and bought some stuff from there.

Yes...probably on the chilly side. Ceremony is mid afternoon...not sure what time the reception will start.

I like that idea ^^

psst, Pasta, who's getting hitched?

It's my brothers son.
That's nice mazie...but not me.
I like the idea of velvet or devore...in deep jewel tones or black.
I've come across a few possibilities on eBay. I'm going to have to bite the bullet, and go to the shops and try a few things on.
hope you find something you are comfortable wearing, that is the most important thing.
Are you sending Caspar and Sally to a pet hotel? I hope he forgives you, Sally is a lady so will be more understanding.

Enjoy yourself
You can't go far wrong if you copy the duchess of cornwall. She may get a lot of criticism, but she does seem to have superb dress sense when it comes to big occasions.
Really Atalanta? I think she's very dull and old fashioned considering she could afford to buy absolutely anything. Her hems are always a tad too short and generally I don't think her clothes are fitted very well.
Totally agree about the DoC's hems being at least an inch too short. Many of her dresses make her look rather matronly in the bust department too.

I would love to advise you Pasta but without seeing you an knowing you and your style it is a near impossible task.
