Saxondale

What are your thoughts on Steve Cogans new offering, I've always thought after Alan Partridge he would struggle to better himself, but just as Ricky Gervais has done with Extras i think he has come up with something comparable, would not say better, but there again would not say any better, any views ?

To be fair, following Alan Partridge up with something equally as funny must be impossible.

Not brilliant, but it does have some merit. Surely it's good he's having a go at creating another character - Alan Partridge couldn't go on forever. Saxondale is a different sort of comedy, more restrained; AP was very much 'in your face' stuff.
I think Saxondale might take a while to find its stride, but it does have potential.

I like Steve Coogan but not this new Saxondale. Sorry, can't find anything remotely funny in it. Perhaps it's my age, I enjoyed The Office and Extras and Alan Partridge was great and a very unique character but I can't see Saxondale lasting more than one series. It's perhaps a little too coarse for my taste and he is just not likeable at all! Come on, Coogan, you can do better than this!
