Wednesday. Yesterday turned out warm and sunny. It was lovely on the canal, several beers evaporated as we went to Gloucester docks for lunch in a lovely restaurant there. After lunch we went back to the boat for a good old chinwag and another couple of beers. An excellent day in excellent company.
Got workmen coming at 0930, so will be away at eight to make sure I'm back in time.
Good morn Boaty campers, how are you all? full of pains, grown's, aches, nice isn't it lol, not a bad day here very mild, are you looking forward to W/End? I'm looking for a 3 nt stay nr the York Minster, anyone any recommendations?
Morn Murray, yes It's an hour from our home, we have been there a few times and never get fed up of the place, a lot of history which I like, there's a hotel just around the corner from the Minster as you come out the front door, can not remember the Hotel but that's what I'm aiming to stop at xx
last time in York was only passing through coming back from Mrs O's funeral... must try a weekend or something soon...the train station platforms are a bit confusing..a maze of tunnels !
Greenpeace do tend to act in a reckless way at times so as to endanger human life..their escapades on the whaling ships were very dodgy although the sentiments were good
The dock is blocked by this ship as the capt wants paying before he clears off. Its stalemate! the cargo might be dumped & lads here have got their boats revved up.
bet VW have some strategy in place..and Port Authorities will join forces with a heavy crew ! would they be any good if dumped in sea anyway ? kind of ironic if they do jettison and pollute the estuary..own goal Greenpeace !
