Vax Rapide carpet shampooer

Can anyone please tell me their views on this carpet shampooer. Is it any good? Is it powerful enough. Thank you in advance.

I mean the Rapide Classic (the featherweight one)

I've got one and its really easy to use and works just as well as the heavier models. Bit of a waste of money now mind you as I've just had all my carpets replaced with laminate!

Just got one, it works well and easy to use according to other half.

We had one and it was alright but not superb or anything, but then we've got very thick carpet and I think it lacked suffient suction to do anything much so we bought a Bissell Proheat which is heavier ( 9kg) but really superb, does absolutely any sort of carpet with ease.

I just had a Bissell Quick wash and although the dirty water was dirty the carpet didn't look too clean (cheap Spanish make) and the Bissel broke after a year and can't get it repaired over here. So am having to bring one back as excess baggage in August so it'll have to be very light. See the prob?
