Hurrah - justice has been served (although I'd like to have seen these cretinous deluded morons receive more), but I'm reasonably happy with 12 years.

Q - did anybody see on the news last night their idiotic justification for stealing the remains of that poor woman? As there were a few guinea pig bones in the woods she was fair game.

It just simply beggars belief that in their weird screwed up little world they equate defiling a human grave on a par with the remains of a few rodents.

As mentioned in a previous post, and despite the opinion that certain people has posted as evidence, the fact remains that humans are significantly more important than animals, and if the death of a million or even 10 million animals leads to the successful treatment of a disease, then the end justifies the means.

Fool.

Hmm good come back flip flop. I guess i was right. Anyways as to the animal rights activists and the methods they use....i think you should remember Emmeline Pankhurst and her daughters Christabel and Sylvia. They wanted women to have the right to vote and they were not prepared to wait. The Suffragettes were prepared to use violence to get what they wanted and they did. They burned down churches as the Church of England was against what they wanted. They vandalised Oxford Street, breaking all the windows down the street. They chained themselves to Buckingham Palace as the Royal Family were seen to be against women having the right to vote. They hired out boats, sailed up the Thames and shouted abuse at Parliament. Politicians were attacked as they went to work. Their homes were fire bombed. Golf courses were vandalised. When a Suffragette was sent to prison, she would go on hunger strike as this caused the authorities maximum discomfort. The most famous act associated with the Suffragettes was at the June 1913 Derby when Emily Wilding Davison threw herself under the King's horse, Anmer, as it rounded Tattenham Corner. She was killed and the Suffragettes had their first martyr. This and the work done by women during WWI helped bring in the 1918 Representation of the People Act. Also the government had seen what revolution had done to Russia at the time and where worried about it starting here. Ok so only women over 30 could vote but it was a start and they were recognised as hero's for what they did and for standing up for what they believe in.

Can't believe I'm doing this, but what they hey - to answer some of your, really quite breathtakingly stupid points, are you really that naive to think that scientists test drugs on animals for fun? Are you really that half witted?

I don't think animals should be killed for sport, but I am happy to wear animal skins if it is a by-product (do you wear leather shoes?).

I do have a wax jacket, which i wear in the winter when I'm walking my dogs.

I despise 4x4s - I think they are pointless vehicles, unless they are used for what they were designed for.

However, I am mature and pragmatic enough to realise there is a natural pecking order which we are at the top of, and that testing drugs on animals is for our benefit and should continue.

Well they do test on animals when there are other ways to do the same job that doesn't harm any animals. As for the natural pecking order. I'd like to see you go one on one with an animal like a lion LOL. Don't get me wrong but i know animals can be usefull to man but aslong as they are treaded properly and in no way harmed and are happy to do what we ask of them then thats ok. Take your pet dogs...i'm sure that they love you as much as you love them and are happy. But would you be happy with some one doing tests on your own dogs?
Oh and do you think it was right for the Suffragettes to use violence to gain rights for humans? If they were not soo extreme then who knows when the laws would have changed. What about the violence that is used today to secure the rights of people? What if they were to test drugs on humans like they test them on animals? We are animals after all. We need the same things to live. What really makes us different to an animal? Animals live in balance with nature and have done for millions of years so they deserve some respect considering who we act. Were not perfect. I'm not perfect. No one is. I just think animals should get alot more respect from us as the things we do to them are far worse than anything they could do to us.
