To be honest UKippers are just the angry drunk uncle in the corner at a wedding- you know he's going to start a fight no-one else really wants, and you have a shortlist of his likely victims, he's picked on one now he's off after the rest, one by one 'til he does himself in. Sad times :(

No oddly enough I think they are probably right (politically if not morally, of course). Brexit is now a "mainstream" issue and UKIP are only ever going to be a single-issue party for malcontents. If they go too "mainstream" they might as well pack up. They got lucky before when their raison d'etre became an issue for more than just a few right wing eccentrics. They need something else now to get worked up about as well as "independence"

Brexit maybe mainstream, but other parties have a percentage of members who wish to sell us out to the EU. Offering financial bribes and asking for an extra two years of hearing ,"Non, non, you must do more, non, non, you must give more, non ..."

All this reminds me so much of unionists in the 80s talking of "sellouts" to Dublin.

Brexit has effectively terminated UKIP, looks like splitting the Tories, and may well do the same for Labour when they finally have to face it.
And it is all our own fault.

UKIP aren't going to split any Party in the future. They already did that, and they don't have to do it again.

UKIP will continue to behave like that uncle that Kvalidir has mentioned...making lots of noise, which nobody will take any notice of.

The very thought that this Party of misfits and loony tunes could have a influence on a serious subject like transgender issues is just daft.

Now that Waters has been defeated, its highly unlikely that Farage will make any kind of come back.

Many years ago, Farage said, on many occasions that if UKIP could bring about a Ref. on the EU issue, it will have done its job. It was only ever a one-issue pressure group, and was never even a proper political Party

It isn't the first time Farage was mistaken and had to modify his stance. He now realises, and has said on many occasions, that the issue isn't settled until Brexit is delivered; and if necessary he'd be prepared to return to take over the party again. He's the sort of uncle folk don't like to admit to having taken notice of, but who, somehow, seems to have influenced events anyway.

I dont see the problem. Currently no party will stand up to this nonsense so it is good debate will be stimulated rather that the public being hoodwinked by a minority of liberal 'elites'.
