I'm off to Aberdeen in 3weeks,just for the weekend! What should I 'look out' for,scenery,buildings,sunrises/sets,good pubs/eateries and what of the public transport system?
I've just (5wks.ago) had 2wks in Glasgow-I love this city!! and I don't want to be underwhelmed by Aberdeen.
Please be realistic,I'm going up/down on the train & using local buses to get around.
Cheers.

Well,I've survived the weekend in Aberdeen! Briefly saw both rivers, the Don & the Dee & checked out the cathedral & one of the Universities. Ended up eating & drinking mainly in the Wild Boar on Belmont Street but did venture up to Chapel St. & Huey's?
Wonder why the 'chugger' takes longer to Aberdeen than it does to London?
Obvious signs of money deserting the city and a severe need for re-investment.
Nothing there to tempt me back!
