About Two weeks ago had a nightmare journey back from Paddington after visiting my daughter. I won't go into too much detail but train cancelled due to driver not showing up! So had to hop on another about an hour away from home. Got there, guess what? Train cancelled to my final destination. Had a fort minute wait , tired with headache. Had to catch coach train company put on. Driver didn't know the area, didn't have sat Nav. Kind gentleman sat in front to direct him at all the stops. Anyway, after a awful journey, hubby picked me up near home. I thought, "Thank God for that, what else could go wrong?" After a little rest and a bite to eat decided to unpack my little black case...opened it, and horrors of horrors.. it wasn't mine! I won't go into it but all sorted now. Apparently, someone had switched cases. They were identical..... Not a nice experience!

never received someone else's but I did see our bright red Samsonite suitcase put on the wrong plane once. It was at Fiumicino Airport which, at the time was miniscule. They used to trolley luggage out to the planes and hand load it. Passengers could watch from the cafe bit. I said to DH "Look they are loading our case onto that plane" He told me not to be an idiot and that it couldn't possibly be our case.....and then we landed at Heathrow and our bright red suitcase was elsewhere.

No but someone went off with mine once. Took it to South Wales but I got it back a couple of days later.
It's always worth taking an old baggage on holiday - you might get lucky and swap it for a newer model ...
Is that some sort of euphemism, SD?
Are you suggesting I'm in a Brass Band, snags?
