picked up mending from a new 'needle team' I have found, had a farm shop lunch out that was nearby to the above and then, afterwards, back here, hit the garden, first fire in the grate for the Autumn as it's quite chilly, my two outside bonfires still smouldering away. Now the Opéra red wine is as well.....and after a penne with bacon, mush, shallots, chilli, cherry toms and a tom and marscapone sauce.

yep, by the time that the mater played her annoying habit of allowing me to cook and then saying, 'I'm not hungry' (perhaps her most annoying trait in all of this), there was plenty left over!!!

I remember it well from my youth ( football ) especially the smell.
