Reversing Sensors

Is it possible to immobilise the sensors on my Ford C Max temporarily, and if so, how do I do it?

Just in case you haven't looked yet, is there a switch on the dash somewhere?
I know my C3 Picasso has one.

You don't say what year your car is. I downloaded a 2015 manual and it says to press the parking aid button to turn the system off.

I have never seen a car yet that does not have a switch to turn off the parking sensors.

Can I just ask why you want to immobilise them?

Wish I could immobilise the sensors on my old Subaru Outback, the nugget who wired my towing electrics didn't do it right. They bleep all the time I'm reversing while towing.

Tilly2, I want to tow a caravan, and the sensors would tell me, when I am reversing the caravan, that I am about to hit something! (So much for AI!)
It seems that connecting the sockets from the 'van will automatically switch off the rear sensors.
