corrupt hard drive
5 Answers
I have an external hard drive which I use to back up my files. Today unfortunatly it went down. When i try to open it, i get a window up saying that it is corrupt and won,t open. The hard drive is still spinning so is not totally dead. Does anyone know of any software that will help me recover the data from drive. Thanks.

Bearing in mind to set the drive to Slave before you connect it up.

The best way to recover data is use of third party software. I suggest you to opt for "Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery". I am suggesting this software because I am using software and recovers all the data which is ever lost. Just download free version from here : -

and it will show what files can be recovered by it. After that if you are satisfied from the result you may opt for this software.
