Howdy folks, I have booked a doc's app because I think I may have a hormone imbalance as it would explain alot of health problems I have had. I was just wondering how they test you for this, is it a blood test etc.. thanks guys.

I had this last year - it was a blood test, If I remember rightly it was 3 samples to be tested for different things.
This might help - it has a list of what they're testing for......

Usually yes - my tests came back normal so I'm back at square one for now!!
Sorry, are you male or female?......make a big difference on what they're testing for?
Either way it would usually be drug therapy as some kind of hormone replacement (not hrt but similar), it can take a while to get the balance right - so they may increase & decrease the dosage until you get to where you should be......
The main hormone problems can include, fertility problems, menopause, andropause, PMS, Thyroid problems (under or overactive), hirsuitism, and the list goes on.
Depending on your results your doc will be able to give you the best course of treatment.
Hope this helps
