Bakers' Cyst
8 Answers
Has anyone on here had one of these? Apparently I had one and it popped about 3 weeks ago, pain was really bad at first and although it's eased off, my leg still really aches and even though I can walk slowly, I can't put weight on it when I go down a step, almost fell out of the shower earlier. My question really is, how long should I put up with this before going back to docs?

My burst Baker's cyst had nothing whatsoever to do with arthritis (which happily I haven't got). I promise you it will get completely better with time - meanwhile, just keep taking the painkillers as and when you feel you need them. Good luck!

It 's not so much the "Baker's Cyst" it is what has caused and underlies it.
It may well be that you have degenerative wear and tear arthritis in your knee to start with and with the disappearance of the cyst, your arthritis remains.
If it were me, i would monitor the situation for a couple of months and take painkillers.
